"Buried is a stop motion animation that discusses the ambiguity of warfare and nuclear weapons in boasting national power while damaging the lives of civilians and nature. The animation follows through the story about the underground life of three war refugees and nuclear scientists and explores their similarities in experiences.

This project researched the US's efforts in recruiting scientists in developing nuclear weapons in the 1940s and the impact of the Hiroshima bomb on Japanese society. This animation is theoretically and visually inspired by Stanley Kubrick’s Dr. Strange Love. Independent project;
