"Tunnels" is an experimental film that explores how karma, reincarnation, and spirituality can be experienced and represented through bodily performance and one's interaction with the environment. The idea of "Tunnel" is used as a metaphor in Buddhism and Daoism to signify the connection between time and space, individual and outside environment.

 

After researching the visual representation of spiritual experiences, such as Alex Grey’s transcendental paintings and Alejandro Jodorowsky’s religious film series, this work depicted a spiritual world through eerie sounds, rituals, performance art, and contextualized "tunnels" that exist in the mundane world.
